Summary: Cheney and Shiloh Irons-Winslow return to New York from their honeymoon in the West Indies eager to resume their careers. Cheney is thrilled with the newly opened St.Luke the Physician Hospital, which she helped design and renovate. To her dismay, however, it soon appears that several have been compromised and patients are contracting new illnesses rather than getting well. As evidence of foul play mounts, Cheney works feverishly to expose the true villain and reveal the desperate secrets fuel these crimes. Shiloh is running the Winslow Brothers Shipping Company, but it soon is so well organgized that boredom haunts him. Cheney is so caught up in medical emergancies, day and night, that he must visit her at the hospital.
